About Eskom Uganda
ESKOM UGANDA’S MANDATE EUL was incorporated on 22nd November 2002, and was awarded a 20-year concession to operate and maintain two power stations in Uganda namely Nalubaale and Kiira Hydro Power Plants. EUL took over operations and maintenance of the complex from Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL) on 1st April 2003. Over the 18 years of electricity generation in Uganda, EUL has adopted prudent Utility practices to ensure that it meets dispatch demands and generate enough electricity for the country at 1 US cent per unit. The operation and maintenance of the power plants calls for a more robust and prudent practices in safety, health, environment and quality management across the business as it continues excelling in providing reliable and affordable electricity solutions while creating value for our stakeholders.
