About Esperanza's Sanctuary INC
Esperanza’s Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm sanctuary and community hub based in Sky Valley, California. We serve the Coachella Valley and beyond through programs that blend animal welfare, environmental stewardship, food justice, and inclusive education. Our farm is home to rescued farm animals and hosts a variety of programs including a shelter-to-service dog pathway, dog training and behavior mentorship, climate-smart composting, produce recovery, and community workshops that build local resilience. We operate a community-accessible composting project, accepting food and farm waste to create high-quality soil used for forage and native plant restoration. We host micro-gardening, sustainability, and disaster preparedness workshops, and we partner with local schools and organizations to increase access to nutritious food and healing experiences with animals. Esperanza’s is committed to equity, access, and climate action—rooted in regenerative practices and compassionate care. Whether you're a volunteer, visitor, partner, or pet parent, we invite you to grow with us. 🌱 Community-led. Climate-conscious. Compassion-forward.
