Emma McAndry, the director of EMS, adapts well to different parties, whether individuals without representation or businesses with barristers and experts in tow, sometimes encountering the extremes of parties in one case, particularly in multi-party disputes. Building rapport and trust with strong interpersonal skills, parties have confidence in being open, enabling her to effectively identify underlying issues and common interests. Drawing on her commercial background, she is able to easily grasp complex problems. She is an excellent communicator who truly listens and encourages the parties to collaborate. Using a facilitative style, yet not afraid to reality test her parties, Emma has an extremely high success rate in supporting parties achieve a mutually beneficial agreement. Emma also is skilled at training and has successfully trained hundreds of mediators since 2014. Delegates have travelled from several nations including Nigeria, the Bahamas, Mauritius, Cyprus, South Africa, America and Germany, to be trained by her. She has also delivered training abroad and helped set up training courses internationally. EM Solutions continues to support delivery of training abroad, including Cyprus. She is a member of the international AMATI (Association of Mediation Assessors, Trainers and Instructors), invited in recognition of her experience. Emma was shortlisted as Best Trainer in the National Mediation Awards 2020 and won the Best Mediation Trainer of the Year in the UK from the Corporate INTL Global Award.
