Essex Insights is essentially a YouTube channel dedicated to exploring businesses in Essex through video, launching in April 2020. It will use short magazine article, documentary style videos to create content that is not your standard run of the mill advert for a company, directed at the consumer (B2C). We frame the business as a market leader and create content that people are more likely to watch.. for example if we were to feature a restaurant.. we wouldn't do a tour of the restaurant and say "come her to eat Italian food", we'd go into the kitchen and ask how they make the perfect risotto. This, we think will resonate with consumers in the Essex area more than the classic hard sell, even if the brand is not front and centre. The key to reaching consumers directly is to build the Essex Insights platform through both organic growth through the sharing of monthly content and paid ads, backed up by Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. Paired with our Essex Business Insights Podcast, run by Jerry East, we can look more in depth into the business practices of each business leader/company and get their opinions on entrepreneurship in the Essex area. Similarly framing the interviewee as a market leader, this acts as our B2B arm of the franchise, which will be used for more business centric social platforms, such as Blogs and Linked In. Essex Insights - Video Magazine will be run and curated by Lloyd Seymour, of Poppy Productions Limited. For more content creation, Poppy Productions is available to run side by side content for web and social with partners getting preferred rates and access. This allows more content to be created for the channel, which in turn increases the spotlight on the partner.
