About EtcA Escola de teatre i circ d'Amposta

We are a center for teaching, training, research and investigation, creation and exhibition of Performing Arts of Terres de l’Ebre located in Amposta (Catalonia). It was born in 2013 with the desire to be a suitable medium, not only for the basic and professional training of actors / actresses and circus artists but also to put the tools offered by the theatrical event and the circus arts at the service of 'other professional fields in which imagination, communication and creativity play an important role. That is why the EtcA offers regular courses in both Dramatic Art (acting, physical theater and text theater, genres, territories and dramatic styles, movement, mask, voice,…) as well as Arts disciplines. of the Circus (trapeze, circle, fabrics, acrobatics, Chinese mast, juggling, ribbons, balances,…), at the same time that different dynamics have been put into operation that allow to approach the theater and the circus to the society, and to make visible , in addition, the pedagogical contribution of these disciplines to the socio-educational field. The Amposta School of Theater and Circus is a center attached to the ACET (Association of Theater Schools of Catalonia - Professional Theater Education) and the XECC (Network of Circus Spaces of Catalonia). The EtcA promotes regular training in Theater and / or Circus aimed at students from 3 years of age, with methodologies adapted to different age groups, as well as mainstream training in different disciplines with a highly prepared team and qualified. From the 2017-2018 academic year and for the first time in Terres de l’Ebre, the EtcA received recognition for offering the training of Professional Theater Studies, a degree endorsed by the ACET and recognized by the AADPC. EtcA is currently present in the following fields or sectors (artistic and scenic, educational, social intervention, innovation, tourism and business).
