About Ethiopian Students Association in Korea -ESAK 주한에티오피아학생회
The Ethiopian Students Association in Korea (ESAK) ESAK is a voluntary, non for profit, non for political, and non for religious Ethiopian students’ group, shall be the primary representative entity of all Ethiopian students actively studying at any educational institute within Korea. The main objectives the Association includes but is not limited to are: Providing an official presence for all Ethiopian Students in Korea (ESK); Working as a liaison between the Ethiopian Embassy in Korea, other Ethiopian communities, and ESK; We promote solidarity and exchanges among the ESK and other local, regional, national, and international associations with similar goals and objectives. Expediting the technological and material transfer to Ethiopian universities and institutes; Promoting Ethiopian history and culture; Provide academic support and introductory courses in the Korean Language, Korean Culture, and Korean civilization; Organizing and conducting symposiums, workshops, conferences, and the like that focus on creating opportunities for Ethiopian scholars; Encouraging Ethiopian students and researchers to join Korean research and educational institutes; Engaging and supporting research focused on solving core problems of Ethiopia and on developing sectors; Creating a networking opportunity between Ethiopian students or other professionals to discuss their research works and/or carry out joint projects; Assist and support its members in all possible fields, especially in administrative and social matters, and help them reach a better social integration. The Association aims to: Become a forum for unity, harmony, and kinship for ESK; Help improve the scientific quality of ESK; Maintain good relationships and cooperation with various parties; and Making active contributions related to the public interest of Ethiopians.
