About Eu Decido

Eu Decido ("I Decide"), the first-ever Brazilian right-to-die organization, was founded in May 2025. Eu Decido is a non-profit, civil association with an advocacy and educational mission. We are dedicated to promoting and fostering the debate about self-determination and autonomy at the end of life in Brazil, from a multidisciplinary perspective. We aim to change the Brazilian law to secure the right to assisted death for any person over 18 (eighteen) years of age, capable of carrying out civil acts, competent to make decisions consciously and independently, who is suffering in a way that they consider unbearable, due to (1) a terminal and/or incurable illness, (2) serious and/or irreversible incapacity, or (3) suffering resulting from advanced aging.
