About Europa Kaffe & Te

That we at Europa Kaffe & Te love coffee and tea is hardly a surprise. As part of the Europa family, our passion for coffee goes back much further than 2019, when we opened our roastery in Aarhus. Yes, in fact, the love of quality coffee has been a focal point for our entire group ever since our founder Jens Nørgaard together with his father, mother and brother opened café Europa 1989 in Copenhagen more than 30 years ago. In Aarhus, we have really good facilities for roasting and processing coffee, while we can contribute as an active partner in the local area. We do this, among other things, by being able to offer work for some of the crooked existences that can be found right here. We want to take social responsibility and give people far from the labor market a second chance. Thus, with the roastery, we can live out our vision of making specialty coffee available to as many people as possible in a responsible, sustainable way. We are sure this is to the benefit of customers as well as employees and suppliers. Our price for the coffee farmers is not determined by a market price set by the international coffee exchange. Our price is instead determined by the quality that the farmers deliver and by their expenses. That is why we pay a price that is created through a negotiation with the farmers themselves, so that everyone can be satisfied. This means that we get high-quality coffee, and that the farmers in return receive a payment so that they can both live and at the same time ensure quality in the future.
