About European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD)
The European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) is a multi-disciplinary association of healthcare professionals who provide care for individuals with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders across the continent. It aims to provide the highest quality of clinical care for people with haemophilia and allied disorders in Europe; to advance the education of healthcare practitioners, clinical scientists, and the general public on bleeding disorders and their treatment; and to promote scientific research and its dissemination on the causes, prevention, alleviation and management of haemophilia and allied disorders. EAHAD organizes a congress in February of each year, supports working groups investigating specific aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of bleeding disorders, and works in collaboration with other European and international haemophilia organisations to support and strengthen care delivery to people with bleeding disorders. EAHAD is governed by an Executive Committee made up of experts in the field, elected by EAHAD’s members. EAHAD also comprises a Nurses Committee and a Physiotherapists Committee, dedicated to advancing those aspects of the comprehensive care of bleeding disorders, along with a number of working groups appointed to work on topical issues.
