About European Cultural Academy (ECA) ECA is a private educational organization offering short programmes in art and architecture. It provides knowledge and inspiration to fulfil creative ambitions and build careers. Most courses take place in Venice, we also run selected courses in Amsterdam and Barcelona. The core team consists of 8 people primarily based in Venice. Mission and Values We want to live in a world where people follow the heart’s calling and confidently pursue their professional purpose. The inspiring atmosphere of Venetian palaces and Biennale, informal surroundings and supportive professional community creates a breeding grounding for personal and professional growth. The lecturers include leading artists and academics from La Biennale to Burning Man. Our main partner in Venice is the European Cultural Centre, the largest cultural foundation in Venice after the Biennale. It offers us access to three Venetian palaces and a network of international art professionals. All our activities are guided by the following values: - honesty and sincerity - inspiration and perseverance - courage to choose one's own path - art as the basis for self-expression. Structure There are three directions: - ECA art. Short programmes for established and upcoming art professionals. We open doors to the art world and inspire professionals to take their place in it. - ECA architecture. Design studios in collaboration with architecture universities. ECA is a trusted partner for over 10 schools including University of Oxford, Melbourne School of Design, University of South California and the likes. - ECA educators. Erasmus+ courses for school teachers seeking to integrate art practices into their work.
