About European Football for Development Network

The European Football for Development Network (EFDN) is a network of European community engaged professional football clubs, leagues and national FAs. In almost every European country a growing number of football clubs, leagues and FAs show their social responsibility and develop community projects that are important for the people in their cities. The football clubs, leagues and FAs with their internationally renowned brands facilitate access to young people who otherwise may not be reached or motivated to participate in these development initiatives. The cooperation between the various clubs, leagues and FAs leads to a network of knowledge and a diversity of methods that directly benefit local community programmes. The EFDN members share their know-how, best practices and run combined European programmes on youth employment, education, inclusion and more. Furthermore, the EFDN set up exchange programmes for staff, volunteers and participants to enhance the quality of their members local projects and activities. The EFDN members stand out through innovation and partnership and see reflection and constant development as key to their sustainable success. We believe that football can change people’s lives and that’s why we aim to inspire all European clubs, leagues and FAs to become more actively engaged in their communities and collaborate with our members in the field of football and development.
