Founded by Irish in 2000 as Next Fx, a themed-event production company that created custom props and décor, Event Extravagant Group spreads its umbrella over eight individually run companies: Next Fx (event décor and rentals); Event Drape (pipe and drape rental); Linen Connections (linens and chair covers); Sculptree (decorative metal trees); Designs by Illumination (event lighting, illuminated furnishing and décor); Pure Creative Ice (ice sculptures); and Live Event Décor (human interactive décor). What’s more, Event Extravagant offers customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “Day or night, weekday or weekend they know they can call us,” Irish said. “No one else comes close to offering that.” Irish has produced events for 23 years. He once spent a year on the road planning parties for Cirque du Soleil, and his client list includes the likes of Yahoo, Pixar, AT&T, Caesar’s Hotel Casino, Chevrolet, Make A Wish Foundation and Camp Taylor for Kids, among many others.
