About Every Child Counts

ECC’s mission is to improve the lives of children living in high-risk situations. We work with victims and survivors of trauma, children living in foster care, and those who live in poverty. We recognize that the higher the educational achievements of a community, the lower the poverty level. Barriers to educational and professional success include hunger, housing instability, increased crime, increased childhood trauma, and exposure to violence in general. In Delaware County, ECC seeks to address many of these barriers with our four programs: Thriving After Adversity, Helping Hands at Holidays, A New Beginning, and Operation Graduate. As a clinician and child advocate, I have witnessed the positive impact that good programs can have on a child’s well-being over the last 20+ years. I have also identified some gaps in those programs. ECC’s goal is to address those needs to help every child and family feel whole.
