About Everybody Builds Philadelphia
Everybody Builds is a nonprofit organization with the mission to diversify Philadelphia’s construction industry and build sustainable capacity for growth among diverse businesses and workers. Working in partnership with the region’s largest contractors, developers, property owners, and unions, we are aligning market opportunities and preparing diverse workers, contractors, and sub-contractors to play a substantial role in Philadelphia’s growth. For Developers and Owners: We drive greater inclusion and help meet ambitious diversity goals by expanding the capacity of contractors, sub-contractors and talent pipelines. For Diverse Contractors: We engage and support high-potential businesses to offer insights into long-term market opportunities and access to larger-scale contracts. For Diverse Workers: We partner with unions and workforce organizations to attract, retain, and support diverse talent. For our Industry: We align goals and initiatives across the region and encourage sustainable opportunity for diverse businesses and workers. Primary programmatic focus areas: - Insights and Market Opportunities: Identify upcoming projects and establish voluntary pledges to hire participating, pre-qualified diverse contractors. - Analysis and Opportunity Assessment: Conduct analysis and needs assessment of business and workforce pipelines to provide insights and access to over $10B in new construction expected to take place over the next decade. - Contractor Cohorts: Recruit and pre-qualify high-potential diverse contractors and sub-contractors, determine their capacity building needs to compete for upcoming projects, and establish partnerships with vetted lenders and business support organizations to meet those needs. - Workforce: Share project insights with union and workforce partners and collaboratively identify partnership opportunities to support recruitment, retention, and success of diverse talent.
