About Excalibur Speakers

Excalibur Speakers is the advanced Toastmasters club for members who, having made progress with the programmes provided by Toastmasters International, now want to take the next step in their speaking and leadership journey. The club is the longest established advanced club in London. We aim for excellence in everything we do. Our members take on challenging speaking projects, and receive high-quality evaluations from highly experienced fellow Toastmasters. Our Table Topics stretch our members and we encourage effective introductions for every speaker. The high calibre of Excalibur is evident in the number of members who have won competitions at Division and District levels and beyond - see our Hall of Fame for details. Nearly half of our membership have achieved the coveted Distinguished Toastmaster award. At the same time, Excalibur retains the objective common to every Toastmasters club, which is to be a supportive and friendly environment, where every member can safely step out of their comfort zone to gain new skills and confidence for work and life in general. Membership is open to Toastmasters who have completed Level in one Path of Pathways or the old Competent Communicator manual (both equivalent to 10 speeches). Many members continue to be active supporters of their 'home' clubs, since Excalibur complements, rather than replaces, participation in a standard Toastmasters club.
