About Excelsior Classical Academy
Excelsior Classical Academy, a Challenge Foundation Academy, home of the Flying Lions, is a tuition-free public charter school with a rigorous, college-preparatory, liberal arts focus. We have a classical curriculum with Core Knowledge in K-8, Singapore Math in K-6, Spanish in K-5, Latin I and II in 7-8 for high school credit, Math 1 in 8th grade (with the option for Math 1 and 2 for those who qualify) for high school credit, two years of language in high school (can be filled by Latin I and II from middle school), Logic, Rhetoric, a Senior Thesis, and early college opportunities through dual enrollment for juniors and seniors. We opened August 2015 to serve grades K–4 and we now serve grades K–12.
