About Explore & Develop Freshwater

Explore & Develop Freshwater is a private owned and operated early childhood education and care service, run by an Early Childhood Professional, and mother of four, with over 22 years’ experience within the sector. We offer extended hours preschool and long day care to children from 6 weeks through to 6 years of age. The service has been thoughtfully designed by us in consultation with leading Architects and Landscaper Architects to create an environment that is nurturing and provides appropriate levels of challenges to engage the natural curiosity and developmental growth of children at every age and stage. We are conveniently located within the new Harbord Diggers precinct in Freshwater where our families and staff will have access to the clubs new fitness, hospitality and aquatic facilities. HOURS OF OPERATION 7:00am – 6:00pm 50 Weeks of the year, closing for approximately 2 weeks over the Christmas / New Year period. Closed all NSW Public Holidays. LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS Our service has been architecturally designed over two levels, both with their own thoughtfully designed, natural playscapes. Our indoor learning environments have been designed to ensure smaller group sizes across the age groups; these learning environments are as follows; 0-1 Year Room 8 Children / 3 Educators 1-2 Year Room 12 Children / 4 Educators 2-3 Year Room 15 Children / 4 Educators 3-4 Year Room 20 Children / 3 Educators 4-5 Year Room 20 Children / 3 Educators Our Approved Provider, Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader, are also on-site to assist, support and mentor the team.
