About Expressive Journeys

Here at Expressive Journeys LLC, we strive to meet clients where they are and work with a holistic approach to encourage further development of cognitive, communication, academic, physical, social, and emotional areas of function as well as increasing clients’ quality of life. Since 2008, Expressive Journeys has expanded to include a growing number of highly qualified Board Certified Music Therapists. By providing mentoring and professional guidance to my employees, I have ensured quality services to a wide range of clients. It is important that the same care and attention that I provide is also provided by my employees to meet individual clients’ needs. To achieve this goal, I decided to continue to provide services myself as well as supervise all staff to ensure that services were customized to meet the school districts’ and facilities' needs through regular follow-up and communication with the transdisciplinary treatment teams. Our Music Therapists use music as a therapeutic tool to work on non-musical goals. Expressive Journeys LLC has gained experience in implementing client-specific Music Therapy programs for students and adults who are diagnosed with various life challenges. Working in conjunction with treatment team therapists and specialists has shaped Expressive Journeys LLC employees into well-rounded Music Therapists with the ability to implement and work on various types of goals and objectives with students and adults. Carry over exists between the communication, cognitive, social, and physical goals worked on in Music Therapy and the defined goals of the client’s curriculum. We provide services to the following counties: Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Warren, Fulton, and Schoharie.
