About eXtreme Youth Ministries
Our Mission The lives of our youth are at stake! The youth in North America, churched and non-churched alike, are yearning for something different, but youth ministry at times doesn't provide for them. They will often miss youth services, youth meetings and functions and then eventually leave church overall. It causes a lot of heartbreak for one person to leave, but in churches all over, handfuls of youth are leaving churches and their youth group to fall into temptations of drugs, alcohol, sex, fornication and any wiles created by the enemy of their souls, the devil. XYM strives to do anything by any means possible to keep youth in North America's churches and keep them in the will of God. Our History eXtreme Youth Ministries began in the spring of 2007, originally directed youth in sports. XYM was created by three Apostolic/Pentecostal youth from Missouri, led by Jake Leonard. In January 2009, plans were made to make XYM an external media and youth ministry of the First United Pentecostal Church of Nokomis, Illinois. This will converge with a plan to create NOKOYOUTH United, the internal youth ministry. In the summer of 2009, the eXtreme Ministries Youth Ministry Podcast began production and debuted on iTunes. Leonard serves as executive producer of the podcast, which is sometimes recorded from the First United Pentecostal Church of Nokomis.
