About F.G.L. Precision Limited
FGL PRECISION LIMITED is a mechanical engineering company based out of Ash Road, Aldershot, England, United Kingdom. Founded in 1966 as FINE GEARS LIMITED, the company was acquired by Alice and Douglas Colliver (Snr) in 1972 and developed into a one stop shop for mechanical design and manufacture of gears and gearboxes. We still work closely with one of our original customers who won the Queen's Award for Industry in 2011, and who designs, manufactures and sells instruments used to test the physical properties of soil and rocks. During the 1980's, the company diversified into providing a sub contract machining service, specialising in high precision parts for radar systems and aerospace components. By the 1990's, further developments included entry into the burgeoning surveillance market with the production of precision parts for CCTV cameras. a trend which continues today. Our latest project is an Exd explosion-protected camera made for Bosch. We are particularly proud of the fact that we've been supplying this unit manufactured and assembled in-house for the last six years, and during this time have developed a strong team of highly capable and intuitive engineers equipped with world class skills. Today, in addition to our CCTV expertise, we still manufacture aerospace parts and are diversifying into new markets such as subsea exploration.
