About FaberCourtial
Full service provider of 3D animation, premium VR films, mattepaintings, crowd animation and postproduction and one of Germany’s leading VFX & XR studios! With their top-level animations, the company has been inspiring viewers since 1998, both in museums and high-profile television documentaries. One of Faber Courtial's core competences is the photorealistic representation of past scenarios and dimensions that are not visible, such as earth's interior or Nero's Rome 2,000 years ago. A logical consequence of the company's ambitious endeavor to continuously break new ground was entering the world of Virtual Reality in 2014. With their award winning documentaries "Volcanos VR" & “Gladiators in the Colosseum VR” for German broadcaster ZDF, Faber Courtial established itself as a VR pioneer on the German market & premium provider of VR film content. The company’s outstanding VR productions have screened on film festivals worldwide & won various awards. In 2018, Faber Courtial started to produce independent VR films. Two of them are the VR space film journeys "1st Step" and “2nd Step", which allow viewers to join the Apollo missions as well as astronauts on future expeditions to prospective destinations on the Moon & Mars. Both films have won numerous international awards and screened on festivals worldwide. The films have been combined in the app "Into Space" which is available on Viveport and the Oculus Go Store. Additionally, both films can be watched with the Quest via the Alcove app which is available in the Quest store ( just watch out for the rocket in the app’s travel section). Furthermore, as a platform alternative, the VeeR app provides an option to license 1st Step and 2nd Step via Steam or Rift. Furthermore, Faber Courtial produced the VR series "Follow Me - Rome" which takes viewers to exciting places in mighty Ancient Rome. And there are more exciting projects to come!
