About Fabric Church - Manchester CCRC
In September 2023, in partnership with the the Diocese of Manchester and the Church Revitalisation Trust (CRT), a team from HTB will plant a new city centre resource Church in Manchester. Manchester is an exciting place to be. The city centre itself is full of students and young people, creativity, innovation and growth. Joining in with the vision of the HTB Network, we want play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the Church and the transformation of society. At present, around 45% of the population is under 35 and 125,000 students attend the 5 biggest universities in Manchester. Manchester has the highest student retention rate outside of London and it is estimated that by 2025 over 100,000 young adults will be living in the city centre. This is all evidenced by the explosion of city centre accommodation, infrastructure and business over the last decade and the opportunities for a resource church in the centre of this boom are, we believe, enormous - for every demographic and people group. We have a vision to build a Church centred around prayer and worship which holds out the light of Jesus to the growing population of students, young adults and families of the city centre and beyond.
