About Fairbank Textiles

Fairbank Textiles were established in the early 1970’s as commission fibre blenders providing a service to other fibre users. In the 1990’s we extended our production capabilities to manufacture needled felt products for use in a wide variety of applications from carpet underlay to automotive vehicle sound absorbing felt. Blending With a blending capacity in excess of 100 tonnes weekly and ample storage our main plant caters for bulk fibre users of both wool and synthetics. We have a smaller separate plant with computer controlled oiling that services the fine woollen sector. We have produced commission blends for a wide range of customer specific applications and markets. Carpet Underlay Felt Fairbank Textiles manufacture a range of carpet underlays to cover a broad range of requirements and to meet the demands of the domestic and contract market. Our generous storage facility allows us to hold stocks of many of our regular underlay products enabling rapid supply to the carpet wholesale and contractors markets. FT Comfort Underlay- recycled wool rich mixed fibre underlay FT Combination Underlay - as FT Comfort but incorporating a tough crumb rubber backing 100% British Wool Underlay - for luxurious spring, durability and insulation Although the above products represent a popular selection of felted underlay products we are always happy to receive enquiries for bespoke or more specific requirements.
