About Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery
Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, P.C. began as a one man, single-specialty endeavor when Dr. Don Colvin opened an office in 1984. Since then, we moved our main office to the Prosperity Business Park on Prosperity Ave. This location houses the Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery Center, LLC where we perform the majority of our colonoscopic procedures and anorectal surgeries. This creates a more efficient and relaxing patient experience as it is done in a quieter, less hectic environment than is often experienced at the hospital. We perform the majority of our colon surgeries laparoscopically and have adopted robotic surgery, single incision surgery (SILS), and also offer transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEMS). We have office locations in Fairfax, Reston, Fair Oaks, Alexandria, and Loudoun and have grown our practice to include eight surgeons and a physician's assistant.
