Vegetarian and environmentally friendly since 1981, Fairhaven Wholefoods continues to serve the local community with a multitude of vegetarian, vegan and health foods, as well as a host of eco-friendly, Fairtrade and organic products. A family run business, with long-standing members of staff who are knowledgeable and willing to help with health and dietary matters, Fairhaven gives customers the opportunity to find alternative ways of promoting good health. Quality vitamins, minerals and supplements have been shown to support good health, with vital nutrients now lacking in common diets and natural herbal remedies are available too. The shop weighs their own nuts, seeds, pulses and wholefoods into compostable packaging, with the opportunity to buy in bulk too. Long before David Attenborough’s inspiring campaign to reduce plastic use, Fairhaven offered laundry and washing up liquid refills, plus numerous other products which are plastic free and now this has been expanded to provide refills for shampoos, conditioners, hand wash and body wash. We continue to strive to bring new, innovative and emerging products to our customer base. Fairhaven provides a unique shopping experience where care for the customer as well as the environment has always been at the centre of the shop’s ethos, supporting local charities through donations and stocking Garden House hospice Christmas and Easter items. Be prepared when you visit, as the shop is not heated to reduce its carbon footprint! Finally, as it says in our strapline, Fairhaven is about wholefoods, but also a whole lot more!
