Falconer Associates is a Sheffield-based PR & Communications company that represents both public and private sector organisations. Current clients include city based regeneration and property development projects, cultural festivals, initiatives from the arts sector and professional services. The company is led by Surriya Falconer, an experienced PR professional who has worked for and managed agencies in London and Sheffield, where she has been based for more than 20 years. Her broad and extensive experience covers the full spectrum of PR services. Surriya established Falconer Associates in May 2014 in order to focus on the particular sectors that based upon her personal experience she felt she could add most value. Previously she had been co-owner and partner at MK PR for nine years. Surriya remains a Consultant Director of MK PR and the two businesses continue to collaborate on specific projects. Falconer Associates has a small team of freelancers that are matched against client’s needs and requirements, thereby providing a flexible and highly skilled resource with practical experience of writing, film, photography, social media, events, design and production. Surriya’s personal philosophy is critical to the approach of Falconer Associates: “I am aware of how varied clients’ communications needs are – there is no fixed template, especially in current times. I like supporting companies – large and small - whether at Board Room level or round a table in a coffee shop. Communications has to be as dexterous as the changing demands of a growing business or service. Of course, the key is establishing an honest and open business relationship with the client –communicating from a position of trust. Frankly that why I have been in PR all my working career – the stimulation of working with great people, and enjoying the results of communication success together.”
