About FAME Center

FAME Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to music and art education for children and adults. Throughout the calendar year, FAME Center offers fine arts education through music lessons, digital art and visual art, computer coding classes, musical theater and drama classes, creative writing classes, and music therapy for mental health. Our vision is to enrich the lives of children and adults in every community of Chicago, through music and arts education, and music therapy for the promotion of mental health. FAME Center is guided by a Board of Directors, each of which brings experience and leadership to the oversight of the organization. We work with experienced fine arts teachers and rely heavily on volunteers to provide music and art lessons and fulfill the organization’s tax exempt purposes. In music therapy we work together to support the client in growth and health through the use of intentionally designed and implemented music experiences. In and through music we can see meaningful movement and growth in connection to self and others, emotional processing and regulation, self-expression, reaching developmental goals, expanding creativity, and many other things. Music naturally engages our whole mind, body, and soul, and is a powerful motivator and connecting element. Through Music Therapy we can work towards a variety of goals, individually created for each client, to aid in experiencing wholistic health and wellness.
