About Famiglia De Cerchio
Famiglia De Cerchio 🇮🇹 🍇 Family wineries from the De Cerchio family 🍷 Abruzzo: Torre Zambra & Idi Di Marzo 🍷 🍷 Puglia: Tenuta del Pajaru 🍷 🍷 🍷 Sicilia: Tenuta Tempestosa 4th generation Vintner, Federico De Cerchio was born on the hills of Villamagna, heart of the Abruzzo wine production area, central Italy, where the De Cerchio family cultivates vines since 1910. After studying Business & Administration among Finland, Sweden and Germany, he came back to Italy in 2012 and founded Wineowine, an online platform that promotes and sell small and independent Italian wineries. After raising 1.5M€ he exited the venture in 2018. After this entrepreneurial experience he took over Torre Zambra, the family winery founded by his grandfather Laurentino in 1961. In 18 months the export grew from 3 to 25 countries and sales from 200k to half a million bottles. In 2020, during the pandemic crisis, he decided to carry on a new challenging project named Famiglia De Cerchio, planting vineyards in southern Italian regions. The objective is to enhance the prestige of native Italian grape varieties and make consumers around the world fall in love by producing amazing wines in this beautiful part of Italy kissed by the sun. With this dream in mind the estates of Idi Di Marzo in Abruzzo, Tenuta del Pajaru in Apulia and Tenuta Tempestosa in Sicily were born, all of them linked by a unique and strong common denominator: family values, organic farming and sustainability. The estates are managed by the De Cerchio family by strictly following organic grape growing and production processes, creating beautiful wines certified on three levels: 1) Sustainability, seen as a whole process involving reduction of CO2, excellent working condition for the workforce and a positive impact on local communities 2) Organic farming for a drastic reduction of pesticides 3) Vegan production processes, avoiding the use of animal product in the vinification to lower CO2
