About Families Australia

Families Australia is a leading national peak body for families, children and young people. Representing nearly 500 members organisations across Australia, we are dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children and families, especially those experiencing vulnerability and marginalisation. Since 2001, we have collaborated closely with governments and sector stakeholders to drive policy reform, coordinate national initiatives, and amplify the voices of those working on the front lines. As part of our efforts, we convene the National Coalition on Child Safety and Wellbeing in support of the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children, facilitate the annual National Families Week celebration and host member and stakeholder policy forums. We also regularly make submissions to government and sector inquiries, as well as to consultation papers and policy development initiatives.
