Families Fighting Hereditary Cancer is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization founded by three sisters after learning that they each carried a genetic mutation that elevated their risks for developing breast and ovarian cancers. The sisters chose prophylactic surgeries to manage their cancer risks. The peace of knowing that they will NEVER get ovarian cancer and have reduced their chances of getting breast cancer by 95% fueled their passion to educate and encourage other families to fight hereditary cancer. FFHC’s mission is to raise awareness about hereditary cancer and cancer prevention through education, advocacy and community building for "Previvors"-(people with an increased risk of developing cancer).
