About Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans
Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans is a Louisiana nonprofit 501(c)3 organization providing support to families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs, youth & adults with disabilities and special healthcare needs, and professionals that serve individuals with disabilities and special healthcare needs. Families want to talk to other families that have similar experiences. Our uniquely qualified staff are all parents of individuals with disabilities or special healthcare needs or individuals with disabilities and special healthcare needs. We've walked the walk and can talk the talk. We've developed relationships in the public systems that parents are often dependent on and know how to navigate those systems as effortlessly as possible. Louisiana Parent Training and Information Center is a federally-funded IDEA Parent Training and Information Center for the state of Louisiana and a project of Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans. Our goal is to connect families with services so their loved ones can live and thrive in their communities.
