Families-in-Time was founded in 1999 by Jeanette King , an experienced researcher who has been tracing birth relatives since 1984. Jeanette has a Diploma in Modern Social History Research and she became a member of the Society of Genealogists in 1986, since when she has gained a great deal of research experience in family, local and social history. In 1997, she completed the Post Adoption Centre Counselling & Therapeutic Skills course. Families-in-Time has a very good track record, locating birth relatives not only in the UK, but also in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, Nigeria, France, Jersey, Spain, Holland, Serbia and the U.S.A. As she lives near the National Archives, and within easy reach of London record offices and archives, Jeanette is able to provide a very efficient service and keep costs to a minimum. Families-in-Time has an excellent reputation in the field of tracing. In recent years Jeanette has been mentioned in the Guardian and the Observer, and also recommended by Nick Barratt in his Family Detective column in the Saturday Telegraph. She has been consulted by several well known authors on searching and reunion matters, and has also taken part in Tracing Your Roots and Sound Advice on Radio 4
