About Families Together - a PLM Organization.

At Families Together, we believe that every family deserves a home, and children should never have to wonder where they’re going to sleep at night. That’s why we work hard every day to connect families with children to stable homes as quickly as possible and provide support services for up to a year to help them achieve self-sufficiency. We are a leader whose innovative programs address the urgent housing needs of families experiencing homelessness and youth aging out of foster care in Wake County, North Carolina. We work help move families into permanent homes and give them tools to maintain their independence. Working from a place of deep compassion and high-level skill, our services include: • short-term housing for families • placement in permanent housing • temporary rental and utilities assistance • life skills and financial literacy training • landlord connections • affordable housing advocacy • children’s enrichment activities • referrals to community resources and services We recognize that homelessness must be addressed as a community, so we work in collaboration with other service providers, businesses, faith groups, our neighbors, and our government to develop and implement solutions that have long-term, maximum collective impact. True change happens when we all work together. Our vision is a community in which all children thrive and where family homelessness no longer exists.
