Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) is a 501(c)(3) private, nonprofit human services organization, serving the most vulnerable populations living in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara counties. Founded in 1987, the agency has grown to provide intensive support services and mental health care programs designed to foster healing, develop critical life skills, and further the efforts of those in care to heal and move from system dependence to long-term self-sufficiency. FCNI provides the following services on a referral-only basis through our county partners: *Therapeutic foster care, including Emergency Shelter Care *Affordable housing *Specialty mental health care *Life skills training *Needs-based financial assistance and connection to community resources *Access to academic and career opportunities *Practical and individualized support and guidance Annually, we serve over 1800 youth, adults, and families whose lives have been impacted by adversity and/or experienced trauma, including current and former foster youth, individuals and families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, and youth and families involved with Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, and/or Behavioral Health care systems. As a Community-based agency, we work with and for our community to improve the safety, wellbeing, and prosperity of us all. To this end, our services aim to provide the essential building blocks of improved wellness and independence—Hope, Stability, Support, and Empowerment—to all participants across all programs, equipping their efforts to build lives of meaning and increased self-sufficiency. By uplifting the most vulnerable among us, we can positively impact our community today and for generations to come.
