About Family Focus
Family Focus invests in strengthening families and their children in Chicago and NE Illinois so they build social capital and achieve upward economic mobility through high-quality innovative programs and services, grounded in anti-racism and social justice. We help participants gain confidence in their own abilities, overcome challenges, raise healthy children, succeed in school and become active, productive participants in the life of their community. Our programs are built on respect for the families we serve and their cultures, and a commitment to working with – not for – our participants. Our centers are located in the Chicago neighborhoods of Englewood, Lawndale, and Hermosa/Humboldt Park and the nearby communities of Aurora, Cicero, DuPage, Evanston, Highwood/Highland Park, Hyde Park, South Holland and South Shore. Matching programs to the communities we serve, we offer programs for parents with young children, pregnant and parenting teens, grandparents raising grandchildren, families exposed to violence, estranged fathers, immigrant families and children and teens in school. All services are available to all, many are bilingual, and most are offered free of charge.
