About Family Promise of Greater Washington County
Our goal is to promise families that they are not alone if they fall into hard times. To promise that families will have a safe place to go with their children, not to get a handout, but rather a hand up. To promise that children will never have to sleep in cars, couch surf, or sleep on the streets. We address the root cause of family homelessness holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.
