About Family Rise Together
Welcome to Family Rise Together, a Black-led nonprofit rooted in Duluth, MN. Our mission revolves around crafting and executing effective strategies for holistic family well-being. We stand committed to uplifting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. At Family Rise Together, our core focus areas are housing, mental health and substance use, kinship navigation services, and supporting BIPOC entrepreneurs. Additionally, we place particular emphasis on empowering fathers and father figures to foster family values, embrace social roles, and actively engage within their communities. We aspire to disrupt the cycle of poverty, abuse, trauma, and more, paving the way for brighter futures. Family Rise Together history is serving communities disproportionately affected by either socioeconomics or health challenges. Our approach to addressing disparities is to provide a safe environment, responsive to the identified needs of our clients. We are committed to promoting health equity and reducing disparities while educating and breaking the stigma around mental health, disabilities, and homelessness.
