His passion for Brazilian music took him to Brazil where his enthusiasm for record collecting led him to some of his musical heroes and thus, friendships were cemented, the vibes recorded and the label was born. At Far Out Recordings, our mission is to bring the sound of Brazil to the world– to showcase the history and culture of a land bursting with creativity and energy – from the classical to cutting edge. We release recordings from both new and established Brazilian artists. We also release music from musicians and producers who share the label’s appreciation of the Brazilian vibes such as Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Nicola Conte (Blue Note), Zeep, Troubleman (Mark Pritchard) and Marc Mac (4hero) & many others, over the years. The name Far Out is almost a by word for quality new Brazilian music – you won’t find a Brazilian music compilation worth its salt without at least one track from the label on it and to date we have licensed tracks to over three hundred compilations while our music has been synched on numerous TV shows, films and adverts including CSI Miami and Nike adverts.
