About FAR Skate Foundation
The FAR Skate Foundation is a multi-award winning registered Charity which provides innovative education and an alternative teaching style for young people at The FAR Academy. The emphasis is on creating a positive attachment to learning. Our programmes equip young people with the qualifications and skills they need to flourish. Over the years The FAR Academy Trust has helped hundreds of young people who would have become just another statistic. Everyone is welcome at The FAR Academy; many students are drawn to the course with us as they have a passion for practical learning, for the art and design, the woodwork and the vision of becoming and Entrepreneur. Not all of our students are skaters but the mix of experiences and lifestyles of our diverse students base, makes for a well-balanced and innovative atmosphere. We are very proud of our 100% pass rate for the Business and Enterprise courses. Over the next five years we are planning to help many more young people by opening new academies and projects throughout Kent. We are working closely with Shepway Sports Trust and Folkestone 51 urban sports project, also Cyclo Park in Gravesend and Romford Skate Park in Essex
