Farabloc Development Corporation manufactures electromagnetic shielding clothing and wraps. Farabloc is a non-pharmacological product that alleviates muscle and back pain. The product is available as blankets, wraps and clothing in a variety of sizes. The company holds patents for Farablocs application in phantom limb pain, muscular pain and equine muscle training. Farabloc was originally invented to combat the phantom limb pain commonly experienced by amputees. In fact, a 1993 study conducted at the University of British Columbia and subsequently published in the Canadian Journal of Rehabilitation confirmed Farablocs ability to alleviate phantom limb pain. Farabloc looks and feels like linen and contains ultra-thin steel fibres that have been proven to block electromagnetic fields (EMF) in the high- to ultra-high- frequency range. Studies show that EMF can modify cellular responses to stress. In fact, low-frequency EMF pulses are an accepted form of treatment to speed healing during rehabilitation. Farablocs ability to accelerate recovery from muscle injuries and rehabilitation was confirmed in an award- winning study conducted by a team led by Doug Clement, MD of the University of British Columbia, one of Canadas most recognized sports medicine figures.
