Our Story Established in Cape Town on November 22, 1945, Faradays Electrical started as a small shop selling radios and spare parts. Michael Hurwitz joined in 1953, leading to a name change and expansion into electrical engineering. In 2005, we transitioned to a private company (PTY) Ltd, enabling long-term employees to become shareholders and directors. Allan Hurwitz, Michael’s son, joined in 1974 and took over in 1983. Under his leadership, we expanded nationwide, opening branches in Johannesburg and Durban—now led by Managing Director Jaun Hoffmann—and appointing representatives in the Eastern Cape and Mossel Bay. We have proudly served the Pick n Pay Group since its inception, specializing in point-of-sale and computer installations, as well as electrical and data solutions for store refurbishments and new developments nationwide.
