About Faranak Foundation

At Faranak Foundation, our mission is to raise awareness and promote best practices in Family-Centred Early Intervention for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (FCEI-DHH) children across Canada. We are guided by the 10 best practice principles of FCEI-DHH, advocating for early, inclusive, and culturally responsive support for families. Our services and initiatives include: Awareness Campaigns Across Canada National and community-based campaigns to educate the public, professionals, and service providers about the importance of family-centred early intervention and the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. Special Events & Community Dialogues Interactive events, panels, and talks that bring families, educators, and experts together to share stories, raise awareness, and advocate for inclusive policies and practices. Art, Culture & Fun for Awareness Creative and engaging activities—including art exhibitions, cultural showcases, and community celebrations—that highlight the experiences, identities, and strengths of Deaf children and their families. FCEI-DHH Education & Promotion We integrate and promote all 10 principles of FCEI-DHH in our outreach, emphasizing early support, language development (sign and/or spoken), informed decision-making, and family empowerment. All our services are offered in both English and Persian, ensuring culturally and linguistically accessible support for diverse families. By blending education, culture, and community engagement, the Faranak Foundation advocates for Hard of Hearing children and their families across Canada.
