We have recently shifted our practice to a Lifestyle Medicine focused primary care that intentionally chooses alternative methods to medication to solve issues or encourage healthier living, while still providing medically necessary options when needed. Creating a mutually respected relationship and space for both the patient and the provider through intentional listening and additional time has also been crucial in creating the best balance for our transition. Dr. Alisha Lall is board certified in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Lifestyle medicine focuses on the 7 pillars which include nutrition, physical activity, stress management, restorative sleep, social connection, and avoidance of risky substances. The intent is to use the tools we have in order to be able to avoid or prolong medications, but to also incorporate medications when necessary. We are a membership-based model that continues to accept medical insurance for all medically based appointments such as annual physicals, blood work reviews, hospital follow-ups, medical clearances, etc., where all other Lifestyle Medicine focused discussions and wellness coaching would be covered under the membership fee. All patients with the practice are part of the membership which also includes a variety of monthly events and activities held at or off-site of the practice to include but not limited to; yoga and meditation, culinary medicine classes, walking groups, and social events. Ultimately, it is your choice and we're here to guide you. Our practice is determined to offer and build community resources for lifestyle change.
