Our company was co-founded by Greg Hoover in North Texas in April 2013 with the vision to build an efficient way for small Texas farmers and producers to reach consumers who were interested in fresh, beautiful ingredients, but who didn’t necessarily have the time to hunt them down at a farmer’s market. Since then, we have stayed true to our philosophy of connecting our customers with local, trusted, and sustainable farmers and producers who only use natural ingredients. After years of prototyping and experimentation, we have uncovered a need for a new kind of local grocery service. With this in mind, we are expanding our marketplace to offer even more local food choices in the coming weeks, and we have invested in new technology to enhance your shopping experience. With your support, we can continue to help grow our local farms and invest back into our community. We believe in a transparent food system where customers can make informed choices about the food they buy and eat. Each day we are humbled to see our company bring together our customers with our many wonderful local farms. While other delivery companies and grocery stores in North Texas sell mostly produce, meat, and dairy from out of state and Mexico, we work with our partners such as Denton Creek Farms, in Ponder, Texas, who are famous for their tomatoes, super sweet cantaloupe, and delicious leafy greens. We source our grass-fed dairy products from Mill-King Creamery, located in McGregor, Texas. Windy Meadow Farms and Fran's Fryers desired by many top Dallas chefs, supplies our pasture-raised chickens. We take pride in our local producers and know that by supporting them we are able to sustain and support our own homegrown economy, one FarmBox at a time.
