About Farmington Underground

Started in 2018 by Joe Musumeci and Mary Ellms, Farmington Underground strives to develop creative events, games, and experiences with an emphasis on community building and innovation. With just a dream and a good feeling, Farmington Underground started as an escape room in the small town of Farmington, ME. During that first summer, we created an outdoor historical scavenger hunt around the town for a summer festival. We were so surprised to get 150 people to do it on that day, that we thought hey, there might be something more with this idea! From there we began experimenting with many new game ideas to continue on this amazing journey. We have designed outdoor scavenger hunts, escape rooms, mystery tours, interactive theater, and are always working on new ideas to bring people together for entertainment, education, and community engagement.
