About Fat Pup Illustration

My name is Stephen Kavanagh I am a freelance illustrator, I work in a variety of different media from digital, print, watercolour, pencil, acrylic and much more for 8 years. I take varied approaches to my artwork, creating unique combinations of mediums. This allows me to think of innovative ideas. I have experience in illustration, fine art and graphic design which allows me to come up with multiple solutions to a brief. In April 2022, I founded Fat Pup Illustration, receiving incredible support and opportunities since its inception. My art career started in 2012 as the Creative Director of an award-winning garden at the Bloom Garden Show. Over the years, I've worked with clients like the Irish Cancer Society, The Rag Bandits and Ballyfermot College, exhibiting at venues such as Bloom Garden Show, Ballyfermot Library, Farmleigh House, Artsource, and the Guinness Storehouse. Since 2022, I've focused on developing my brand and business. Attending over 300 markets and events, I currently design, illustrate, make, and package everything I sell, from art prints, stickers, magnets, badges, tote bags, and more. I work with clients to develop logos, stickers, clothing designs, and event posters. The markets and events I attend are all over Ireland. Since the beginning of my adventure, I never imagined that my artwork would resonate with so many people. It is an amazing feeling to know my work has found a place in the hearts and collections of so many wonderful people.
