About FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association
FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI. We are an all-volunteer organization of community ambassadors working in partnership with the FBI to promote public safety through community engagement, education, and outreach. Our priorities are to cultivate community partnerships and relationships that further the FBI’s outreach goals, and build bridges to foster engagement and trust within key communities. Founded in 2005, FBI National CAAA provides training, resources, and governance oversight for 59 Affiliate-Chapters representing more than 53,000 business, civic, religious, and community leaders across the U.S., Guam, and Puerto Rico. We serve to facilitate the FBI’s effectiveness through meaningful programming that creates connections and engagement with diverse communities. Our outreach initiatives are highly targeted to specific needs such as public education programs to raise awareness of criminal activities and law enforcement priorities in addressing crimes like violent extremism, cyber crime, hate crimes, terrorism, human trafficking, drugs, public corruption, active shooter awareness, and other illegal activities. Members also volunteer countless hours, expertise, and resources to support first responders working mass casualties, build collaborative partnerships among law enforcement agencies, and aid at-risk populations through community service projects. Members are graduates of the FBI Citizen Academy Program, an eight-week immersive education offering designed to engage community leaders in the inner workings, priorities, and outreach mission of the FBI.
