FD/MAS Alliance (incorporated as Fibrous Dysplasia Foundation, Inc.) is the leading organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and support for those affected by fibrous dysplasia/McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS)—a group of rare, complex disorders that impact the bones, endocrine system, and skin, often causing abnormal growth and chronic pain. We work to accelerate the development of evidence-based treatments and improve the quality of life for the FD/MAS community by: Managing a comprehensive, up-to-date repository of information for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, including current research, diagnosis tools, and treatment guidelines. Creating opportunities for information-sharing and mutual support through written resources, conferences, webinars, and online forums. Advancing clinical research on promising treatments, practices, and therapies. Supporting basic science and interdisciplinary research into the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the disease and their potential application to treatment. Operating the FD/MAS Patient Registry to support research aimed at improving diagnosis, care, and therapeutic development. Together with patients, caregivers, researchers, and clinicians, the FD/MAS Alliance is building a future of better outcomes and a greater understanding of this challenging rare disease.
