FEAST stands for Food, Education, Access, Support, Together. MISSION: To promote wellness and enrich lives through the power of healthy foods and human connection. What is wellness? The World Health Organization defines wellness as: “A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease of infirmity.” Understanding that wellness is not only physical but also mental and emotional, FEAST has created a multifaceted approach that provides all individuals with a range of tools necessary to increase wellness and live a fully healthy life. In order to create measurable changes in physical, mental and behavioral health, FEAST does more than provide families with access to fresh and healthy foods, nutritional education, healthy cooking and shopping skills. Through its support group environment, FEAST classes also provide emotional and social support to empower individuals to make significant steps on their path towards a healthier life.
