It is truly ancient history built on artisan skills, expert craftsmanship, and centuries-old traditions firmly rooted in the local area. It remains a mystery as to why people first began curing pork in the villages around Norcia in the upper Valnerina valley. Non-intensive pig farming had been widespread in the mountains and hills of Umbria since Roman times, the area’s forests and oak woods providing the animals with a natural food source. The practice of processing pork and curing meats first sprang up in the area in the 13th century. Something about Fedeli… The Fedeli family has been involved in the production and sale of food excellence since 1981 and has always focused on the constant search for the best products that our food tradition can offer. The five product lines reflect the history of the Fedeli family and the character of our Umbria region, which boasts a long tradition: hams and salami, extra virgin olive oil, legumes, cheeses, truffles (on request) Naturally, there is no shortage of excellences typical of other regions, which we carefully select to offer you a complete and valuable assortment. This continuous search for improvement, and the desire to rediscover those Umbrian flavors that were a bit lost in time, has turned into a real passion.
